What is DTF?

Direct to film printing (DTF) is a method where your design is printed on to a special filmtransferusing our water-based inks via a digital printer. A powdered glue is applied to the back of the print which acts as an adhesive between the inks and the garment fibres. The design is then heat cured in an oven.

You can decorate dark or light garments with the reassurance that the print will not fade away or change colour over time.

Benefits of Direct to Film

Stretchable and Durable

DTF uses water-based pigment inks which provide greater elasticity and wear resistance which prevents the print from cracking or peeling when the garment is stretched.

No Pre-Treatment or Set Up Costs

The beauty about printing with this method is that there is no use of pre-treatment because the powered glue applied does this job for you.It also uses less ink and there are no set up costs making it more affordable to print your design.

Easy Application

It is really easy to apply DTF transfers to any garment via a heat press. The film is just peeled away after pressed and the garment is ready. The transfers can also be saved to use for another day and transferred in the same way.

Versatile

DTF allows much more flexibility as you can print on pretty much any fabric. Such fabrics include polyester, rayon, silks etc.

Helping the Environment

Our inks are water-based pigment inks and carry the Oeko-Tex® certification. They are also GOTS APPROVED and CPSIA compliant to help ensure they are safe for printing and environmentally friendly. For Further inquiry contact us.
