What is DTG?

Direct to garment printing (DTG) is a process where the ink is sprayed directly onto the fabric via a digital printer. The ink is then heat cured in an oven. It works great for small and large orders. It offers great flexibility as there are unlimited colours, no minimum order quantity or set up costs and has a quick turnaround. DTG is best used on cotton garments.

Prints on dark garments require a pre-treatment which is a cured underbase. The colours then lay on top which brings out the vibrancy of a design.Pre-treatment is not required on white direct to garment printer.

Benefits of Direct To Garment

No Minimum Order Quantity or Set Up Costs

You can print a single unit, or 1,000 units and it would still be affordable as there are no set up costs. DTG can handle any size order.

Quick Turnaround

We have a 48-hour turnaround time on DTG printing as it is that quick and easy. We just require the design file, we then save this and run a print off. Other printing methods are more time consuming but with DTG it’s fast and reliable.

Unlimited Colours

There are no extra charges for extra colours used in the design. Whether your print has a single colour or multiple colours the price will remain the same.

Detailed and Broad Designs

Have a complex design to print? No problem! DTG can print any design whether it’s complex and intricate or a simple design it can do the job with ease.
